The Best Web Platform for Your Coaching Business

And 7 Things You’ll Love About Squarespace

I’m a brand and website designer and the clients I work with are ambitious, dive-in-head-first, go-getters and I love that about them. So when it comes to designing a website for them that works with their goals and how they operate, choosing Squarespace is a no-brainer.

After being on a number of web platforms myself, I found Squarespace to be the most useful, easy-to-manage, and straightforward platform there was and best of all, it was the perfect fit for my type of client, and here are the reasons why.

1. You want the ability to grow

My clients are busy; they have a lot going on. If they’re solopreneurs, it won’t be long until they have a small team. Or if they have a small team it won’t be long until they grow larger and add on team members. Squarespace gives you the freedom and flexibility to add in team members who can have access to certain aspects of the site. From an Admin who has control to everything on the site to someone who has access only to the blog. Having the control to expand your team and who is in your site, while maintaining control to who has access to what information is an amazing feature that my clients love.

2. You want to get found online

Squarespace has terrific Search Engine Optimization, which is the process of increasing the quality and quantity of website traffic by increasing the visibility of a website or a web page to users of a web search engine (SEO does not include direct traffic/visitors and the purchase of paid placement).

The reason this is so important for small businesses is because if your website can show up at the top of page 1 in people’s Google searches, then your website is getting a lot of traffic which means more eyes on your service and more clients in the books. Squarespace makes it easy to implement great SEO which is a huge plus to online business owners.

I believe every website designer should include Search Engine Optimization as they design a website because without it, it won’t help you in the long run. This is why I include it in my own website design service and also offer an upgraded SEO service for those who want to focus on Google ranking and visibility.

3. You want beautiful

Without question, Squarespace is a beautiful platform to use. The reason it stands out from other web platforms is that it’s minimal and modern. Squarespace focuses on eye-catching photography and powerful copy without the fuss of overcomplicated design. And the fact that it’s template-based gives it the edge for people who are not designers.

Implementing a modern design is easy and helps you launch your site faster and more beautifully than ever.

Because Squarespace is template-based, if you’re looking for something a bit more custom, hiring a designer to help you with that is key. Myself, along with other Squarespace designers I know, offer coding customizations and unique designs to make sure your site stands out from the rest.

4. You want simple (mobile and desktop responsive)

If you want simple, Squarespace is the platform for you. Since it’s a template-based platform like we mentioned, you can implement pre-made templates for the pages on your site, which makes updating your site or adding new pages a breeze.

Squarespace is also mobile responsive which means the design you create for the desktop is automatically reflected in the mobile version. This is such a beautiful thing because I’ve worked on platforms before where the two are separate, so it takes way more time to design the desktop version THEN design the mobile version. Having the desktop and mobile versions synced makes everything a lot more easy for my clients.

5. You want modern, fresh, and unique

I hinted at this earlier, but I’ve been designing in Squarespace for years and know enough code to tweak a site so it’s more aligned with my client’s vision and brand. Having these skills allows for the site to stand out so it doesn't just look like a template, and it gives web visitors the opportunity to learn more about your business while being delighted with the design.

6. You want a site that gets you more clients

How does a website help you sign more clients? It’s a combination of copy (the words on your website), strategy, and design. I use all three of these elements in my website designs for my clients.

While I don’t write the copy for my clients, I help by offering a template for them to fill out, and I review and offer one round of “copy-polishing” which means I help tweak the copy so it’s full of keywords and strategic to their ideal client.

Strategy comes with the layout of the site. I make sure that the site is tailored for the client experience, it’s easy to navigate, not overwhelming, clear, and communicates effectively.

And finally, I help with the design. Beautiful website design has the ability to keep people longer on a site which helps with SEO, it also elevates that business or brand to look the part of the professional they are and charge the worth of their offer.

7. You want a site that will grow with you for years to come

Your website is there for you to grow your business, educate your audience and make money. This is how I design every site, with an intentional strategy so your goals are front and center. I help implement key factors that will set you up for success, such as inputting SEO, great user experience, and captivating design.

Your website is an investment that works for you for months, years, even decades to come so it’s important you choose the best web platform so you can meet your goals while growing your business in the years ahead.
